The Last Beacon of Sable Keep

Sable Keep lit its beacon only when the northern pass was lost. On the final night, the flame rose too high and drew a dragon from the ash clouds. The creature circled once, lifted the burning signal into its jaws, and carried it above the ruined walls. The beacon has moved through the sky ever since.
